Wills Week to benefit Charity

Local firm, Ashton KCJ Solicitors is running a ‘Wills Week’ campaign from 6th February to raise money for three charities nominated by the firm’s staff.
The ‘Good Will Campaign’ will benefit three charities - the East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA), Ipswich-based Iceni and Nelson’s Journey, based in Norwich.
Alison Budge, Partner at Ashton KCJ and Chair of the firm’s CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) committee, said: “The life-saving work of the air ambulance is well publicised across the region. Iceni’s work to combat addiction and keep families together is really valued by the people of Ipswich and Suffolk, and Nelson’s Journey is an incredible charity supporting bereaved children in Norfolk. We hope to raise as much as we possibly can during our Wills Week for these three very worthwhile causes.”
Nichola Whymark, Area Fundraising Manager for EAAA, said; “We’re tremendously grateful to Ashton KCJ for supporting us in this way. Every pound raised through this initiative will really make a difference to all three charities. In our case, it will help us keep our two aircraft and their highly skilled medical crews flying and helping to save lives across East Anglia.”
For each Will prepared during the week, Ashton KCJ will donate £100 to the charity chosen – or all three can benefit equally, depending on the client’s wishes. After claiming Gift Aid, this will represent a donation of £125 to the charity.
In 2010, over £2,000 was raised during Wills Week for the firm’s nominated charities, which are voted on by staff each year.
The campaign will be running in each of Ashton KCJ’s offices in Bury St Edmunds, Cambridge, Felixstowe, Ipswich, Norwich and Thetford. Please see their website for further information.
