Community Training Administrator
Location: Norwich office
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Annual Salary: £19,266 - £21,416 per annum
About Community Training Programme:
Since 2018 East Anglian Air ambulance has been delivering lifesaving Community CPR and Defibrillator training sessions to over 10,000+ children and adults, but we need to train more people to save more lives across East Anglia.
Every year approximately 12,000 people suffer a cardiac arrest in the East of England. Only about 40% of those who suffer a cardiac arrest receive any form of bystander CPR before the arrival of the ambulance service and less than 20% have a defibrillator deployed before emergency services arrive.
The cardiac arrest survival rate in the UK is only around 8%, but if a defibrillator is used alongside effective CPR within the first 3-5 minutes, the chances of survival can increase between 40% - 70%.
With significant funding in place and ambitious targets to train as many people as possible across East Anglia in Basic Lifesaving Skills we have 3 new roles to take this important programme to the next level.
About the role:
You will provide excellent administrative support for EAAA’s Community Training team and specifically the flagship Community CPR and Defibrillator Training programme to schools, community groups and organisations across East Anglia.
Responsible for managing the Community CPR Training bookings and general enquiries, you will ensure that all of our training programme supporters receive the highest standard of customer service. You will manage the logistics for Community CPR equipment, making sure it is in the right place at the right time so trainers can deliver their sessions.
You will have strong administration and IT skills, knowledge and experience of using CRM systems and will be able to use your excellent communication skills and confidence to deal with a diverse range of people.
This is a vital role to ensure all our training participants and supporters have a great experience interacting with EAAA, and our community training programmes which ultimately improve outcomes for patients in cardiac arrest across East Anglia, saving more lives.
