"EAAA has been a fantastic environment for an intern without prior experience in the charity sector. The support I have received from line managers and other members of staff has been nothing short of outstanding, with check-ins, support and 1-1s always available. Every staff member happily makes time for you and I feel as though I’ve made some fantastic friendships and working relationships in my time at EAAA so far.
The nature of the events work at EAAA means taking on a large amount of extra responsibility, but I have enjoyed every minute of my work so far. The highly communication orientated work environment, part due to the hot desking arrangements, have helped develop my working relationships with a range of ground staff. When delivering charity ‘Trek 24’ and ‘Only The Brave’ events, working with a dedicated Marketing Communications and Supporter Engagement Team has increased my awareness of each part of the charity, far past my role as an Events intern.
Throughout this experience I have not once been treated as ‘an intern’, which has allowed me to develop invaluable events, team working and communications skills ready for my return to university. You will thoroughly enjoy your time at EAAA."
