Cardiac Arrest

03 August: Snetterton

Anglia One was tasked to Snetterton to assist EEAST and police with a man in his fifties who suffered a cardiac arrest. Babcock pilots landed the helicopter at the scene.

Doctor Chris Chadwick, Critical Care Paramedic Rod Wells and Supervisor Rob Major gave the patient a full assessment and provided enhanced pre-hospital care to resuscitate the patient, including administering medication, use of a specialist monitor to fully assess the patient and use of the mechanical chest compression device as well as assisting with the patient's breathing.

The HEMS team then accompanied the patient to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, by land ambulance, for further treatment.
