Cardiac Arrest

08 June: Bishop’s Stortford


Anglia Two was tasked to Bishop's Stortford to assist the EEAST team with a man in his forties who had suffered a cardiac arrest. Pilots Martin Polding and Paul Smith landed the helicopter in a field adjacent to the scene. 

Doctor Nathan Howes and Critical Care Paramedic Page Chamberlain provided advanced A&E level care on scene including sedating the patient. 

The patient was taken to the Royal Papworth Hospital by road ambulance for further treatment.
