The critical care team from Anglia Two was tasked by rapid response vehicle to Newmarket to assist EEAST and police with a man in his seventies who suffered a cardiac arrest.

Doctor Scott Castell, Critical Care Paramedic Andy Bates and Supervisor Critical Care Paramedic Andy Downes provided enhanced pre-hospital care to resuscitate the patient, including administering medication and assisting with the patient's breathing. 

The critical care team then accompanied the patient, by land ambulance, to the Royal Papworth Hospital - Cambridge, for further treatment.
