Mission Report

Cardiac Arrest

17 October: Newmarket

Anglia Two was tasked to Newmarket to assist EEAST with a woman in her fifties who suffered a cardiac arrest. Babcock pilots landed the helicopter on a car park close to the scene.

Doctor Rishi Rallan and HEMS Paramedic Dave Killingback provided enhanced critical care, including sedating the patient, assisting with their breathing and use of a specialist monitor to fully assess and treat the patient.

The HEMS team then accompanied the patient to the Royal Papworth Hospital in Cambridge, by land ambulance, for further treatment.
