Mission Report

Road Traffic Collision

18 January: Barton Le Clay

The critical care team from Anglia Two was tasked by rapid response vehicle to Barton Le Clay to assist EEAST, police and fire crews with two patients involved in a road traffic collision.

Doctor James Hale and Critical Care Paramedic Chris Neil assisted EEAST at the scene in assessing and treating the first patient, a man in his seventies, providing A&E level care at the scene. The man was then taken to Bedford Hospital by the EEAST land ambulance team for further treatment.

The second patient, a teenage man, required enhanced pre-hospital care, including administering advanced pain relief and splinting an injury. The critical care team then accompanied the patient to St Mary's Hospital in Paddington, by land ambulance, for further treatment.
