The critical care team from Anglia Two was tasked near to March to assist EEAST, police and fire teams with a woman in her forties who was involved in a road traffic collision.

Doctor Joanna Stevens and Critical Care Paramedic Andy Bates gave the patient a full assessment and provided enhanced pre-hospital care at the scene, including administering advanced pain relief and using a specialist ultrasound monitor to fully assess and treat the patient. 

The critical care team then accompanied the patient to Addenbrooke's Hospital, by land ambulance, for further treatment.
