Mission Report

Cardiac Arrest

25 January: Haverhill

Anglia Two was tasked to Haverhill to assist EEAST with a man in his forties who suffered a cardiac arrest. Pilots John Bushell and Paul Smith landed the helicopter in a nearby park.

Doctor Abs Singh and Critical Care Paramedic Dave Killingback gave the patient a full assessment and provided pre-hospital care, including sedating the patient and using a specialist monitor to assess the patient's heart.

The HEMS team then accompanied the patient to the Royal Papworth - Cambridge Hospital, by land ambulance, for further treatment.
