Mission Report

Cardiac Arrest

25 September: Ipswich

Anglia Two was tasked to Ipswich to assist EEAST and the Police with a woman in her forties who suffered a cardiac arrest.

Babcock pilots landed in a nearby park close to scene and the crew were then driven to the patient's side by an EEAST paramedic.

Doctor Sam Todd and Critical Care Paramedic Andy Bates provided critical care at scene, including advanced airway interventions, chest compressions with a Lucas device and use of a defibrillator.

The patient was then taken to Ipswich Hospital by road ambulance, accompanied by the HEMS crew, for further treatment.
