Mission Report

Cardiac Arrest

29 June: Near Cambridge

Anglia Two was tasked by rapid response vehicle near to Cambridge to assist EEAST with a man in his seventies who had suffered a cardiac arrest.

Doctor Mike Thompson and Critical Care Paramedic Liam Sagi provided enhanced pre-hospital care to resuscitate the patient, including intubating the patient to take over and protect their breathing and using the mechanical chest compression device.

The critical care team then accompanied the patient to Addenbrooke's Hospital, by road ambulance, for further treatment.
