Road Traffic Collision

7 February: Near Newmarket


Anglia Two was tasked near to Newmarket to assist EEAST and police with a woman in her fifties who had been injured in a road traffic collision. Pilots John Bushell and Paul Smith landed the helicopter in a field adjacent to the scene. 

Doctor Chris Chadwick and Critical Care Paramedic Liam Sagi gave the patient a full assessment and provided enhanced care at the scene, including administering pain relief and use of a specialist monitor to assess and treat the patient. 

The patient was then packaged for transport and flown to Addenbrooke's Hospital for further treatment.
