It’s all in the T&Cs

It is a strange time at the moment for everybody across the UK and everybody is doing what they can to keep themselves and their loved ones safe from COVID-19.

At EAAA we are trying to keep things as ‘business as usual’ as possible and make sure that we continue to offer the best service that we can to our patients and supporters across all of our services.

Although lots of businesses and services are shutting down across the UK, our weekly lottery and raffle are continuing, which means that our planned changes to the lottery terms and conditions will still be coming in to force from Monday 30th March, and it is important that you know what is changing.

The first change is a cap of 10 plays per week for any players of our weekly lottery. You can still purchase new plays (or numbers) for our weekly lottery, up to a maximum of 10 plays per week.

The next change to our Terms and Conditions is applicable to new players who sign up to a monthly direct debit, so if you are already playing the lottery by Direct Debit, this will not affect you.

From the 30th March 2020, anybody purchasing a new play (or number) and paying for it by monthly Direct Debit will be charged £5 for their first month, and will then revert back to the regular £4.34 per month after that. This change is to ensure that the new player has enough funds in their account to play each week should their registration fall within a 5 week month. We don’t want our supporters to miss out on a chance at winning our regular prizes.

The final change that we are bringing in to force is due to changes in the Gambling Commission regulations. From the 14th April 2020, you will no longer be able to use credit cards for any form of gambling. To be compliant, and also to be most cost effective with our website development costs, we are bringing this forward and from 30th March 2020 you will no longer be able to use credit cards to play our weekly lottery or purchase raffle tickets.

You will still be able to play by using your debit card or via direct debit, which would always be our preferred method as it is the most cost effective method for the charity.

Our terms and conditions and social responsibility policy.

If you have any questions regarding the changes that are coming in to force, then please contact us via email at info@eaaa.org.uk or by calling 0345 669 999.

Thank you for your support,
