How does the Missions app work?
Choose your lifesaving pledges
A Missions app pledge is a promise of a micro donation – which can be as little as 10p – each time something happens. You can choose a pledge which is meaningful to you.
This could be a donation of 10p each time the crew is tasked to a cardiac arrest, or 20p each time the crew is tasked by helicopter, or 50p every time the crew provide treatment and care to somebody who has been seriously injured in a road traffic collision.
The pledges are small, but mighty – and you’re in complete control.

By pledging your support through the EAAA Missions app, you’ll be notified each time your pledge has been activated, so you’ll get a real sense of your lifesaving impact. It’s a unique way to donate, and one which brings you closer to the EAAA crew and the medical emergencies they get tasked to every day.

You can start using the EAAA Missions app in five easy steps:

- Set up your account.
- Add your card details.
- Decide on your monthly cap.
- Choose your pledges.

Frequently asked questions
Your pledges will accumulate throughout each month as your pledges are triggered. You can see your current donation balance on the ‘Home’ and ‘Profile’ screens in the app. A payment will be taken at the end of each month for the total amount of pledges that have been triggered – but never more than your cap.
No. You are in complete control of how much you want to donate each month as you set up a monthly donation cap when you add your payment method. Donations will never exceed your monthly. However, if you make a mistake, you can reduce your monthly cap or take a payment holiday at any time.
No, they’re not in real time, but they are close to real time – you will be notified within 24 hours when your pledges are triggered.
No, if you’re not comfortable downloading an app you will soon be able to make micro-donations through our new form. Keep your eyes peeled for this new development. For now, if you don’t want to download the app, you can still make a regular donation.
If you want to manage your pledges you will need to download the app so you can stay in control of your monthly cap and card details.
We take patient confidentiality very seriously and this is part of the reason why pledge notifications are delayed. The delay helps ensure we adhere to Caldecott Principles so we can protect patients and limit the risk of any personal information being shared.
Permissions have kindly been given by former patients and their families for all stories and images shared on the app.
Yes, your donation is secure. We use industry-standard encryption protocols to ensure that all your personal and financial information is protected. Our payment processing partners are fully PCI-compliant, meaning they adhere to the strictest standards of security in the payment industry. Additionally, we do not store your credit card information on our servers. You can confidently donate through the Missions App knowing that your data is safe and secure.
You can change, freeze, or cancel your donation at any time through the app. We understand that circumstances can change, and we aim to make the donation process as flexible as possible. If you need to adjust your donation, you can do so through the app by clicking on ‘profile’ and ‘manage payment method’. If you do get stuck, you can call our Supporter Engagement Team who can help with any changes you wish to make.
No, all pledges made through the Missions app exclusively benefit the patients and service given by EAAA.
