Mission Report

Cardiac Arrest

09 December: Ipswich

Anglia Two was tasked to Ipswich to assist EEAST and police with a man in his fifties who had suffered a cardiac arrest. Pilots Martin Polding and Hal Eriksen landed the helicopter in a recreational field close to the scene.

Doctor Terry Collingwood and Critical Care Paramedic Gary Spitzer assisted EEAST in helping to assess and treat the patient by using a specialist monitor.

After their assessment, the HEMS team were happy for the patient to be taken to hospital in the road ambulance for further treatment.
