Cardiac Arrest

26 November: Near Brandon

Anglia One was tasked near to Brandon to assist EEAST and Police with a man in his forties who suffered a cardiac arrest. Babcock pilots landed the helicopter in a clearing near to the scene.

Critical Care Paramedic Rod Wells, Paramedic Jordan van-Noortwijk and Supervisor Doctor Nicola Ebbs gave the patient a full assessment with use of a specialist monitor and provided enhanced pre-hospital care, including assisting with the patient’s breathing, administering chest compressions, and performing defibrillation.

The HEMS crew then accompanied the patient to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, by road ambulance, for further treatment.
