Cardiac Arrest

28 October: Near Huntingdon


Anglia Two was tasked near to Huntingdon to assist EEAST with a woman in her fifties who suffered a cardiac arrest. Babcock pilots landed the helicopter at an airfield near to the scene.

Doctor Ed Gold and Critical Care Paramedic Andy Downes gave the patient a full assessment, including use of specialist equipment to fully assess and treat the patient, and provided enhanced pre-hospital care at the scene.

The HEMS then accompanied the woman to the Royal Papworth Hospital in Cambridge, by land ambulance, for further treatment.
