The draw takes place every week. We check the winning lottery numbers and winners are notified by post, text or email. All winning numbers are published on our website.

If you have won a £5 prize, you’ll receive a text message or email from PayPoint with a link to your £5 voucher. To redeem, simply show the voucher in any PayPoint retailer (find your nearest PayPoint retailer). Vouchers can be redeemed for cash or credit in store depending on individual retailers.

Lottery entries are £1 each and you can have up to 20 entries per week. You can pay monthly, quarterly or annually by Direct Debit, cheque, debit card or by cash via newsagents.

In 2024, we received £6,694,909 in ticket sales, of which 82.22% went straight back to the charity, 1.82% was spent on prizes and 15.96% on expenses. Players have a 1 in 7,094 chance of winning a prize in the weekly lottery, in the Accumulator draw there is a 5% chance that a winning ticket is drawn.

We are required by our licence to inform customers about what happens to funds which we hold on account for you, and the extent to which funds are protected in the event of insolvency. The Gambling Commission provides further information on our licence conditions detailing what we need to tell customers about their funds.

The funds are kept in a bank account in the charity, thus separate from the trading subsidiary.

Trustees have deemed this bank account as separate and the funds are not included in the working capital of the charity. This means that steps have been taken to protect customer funds but there is no absolute guarantee that all funds will be repaid. This meets the Gambling Commission’s requirements for the segregation of customer funds at the level: medium protection. The easiest and most cost-effective way for you to pay for our lottery is by Direct Debit. For all new Direct Debit payments, the first payment taken will be £5 per number. This is to ensure that you have enough in your account should you start in a 5-week month. The regular monthly Direct Debit amount is £4.34 per number.

Due to changes in the Gambling Commission regulations, from April 2020, you will no longer be able to use credit cards for any form of gambling.

We occasionally conduct calls to help raise vital funds for our lottery. We only contact lottery players who have opted-in to receive calls and we work with a professional telemarketing company called Unity4 to help us do this. The telephone number agents call from is 01603 249 954, and at the start of the call, they will always say they are calling on behalf of East Anglian Air Ambulance lottery. If you miss a call, please do not be alarmed.
