The views and experiences of the people helped by East Anglian Air Ambulance are integral to decision-making and supporting the charity as it moves forward to improve patient outcomes and support for families, not just in terms of Aftercare but charity wide. Through our Patient Forum Group, friendships and connections with people who have been in similar situations can also be forged.
The group meets quarterly and offers a platform for patients and relatives to offer their thoughts and feedback. Their views are integral to decision-making and provide scrutiny of our decisions. We listen and learn from former patients and their families, and their experiences when it comes to innovation and new projects.
In the time that the group has been running there have been discussions around research projects directly involving patients receiving critical care, in-memory giving, and direct reviews and decisions about patient feedback questions, photos used for condolence cards and many more charity-wide projects.

The Patient Forum Group is a comfortable environment where former patients and families can add value to East Anglian Air Ambulance's strategies. It empowers us to review and help improve and develop the future. It also offers reassurance and camaraderie. It’s given me the confidence to talk about my circumstances more openly.
