Cardiac Arrest

30 September: Royston


Anglia Two was tasked to Royston to assist the EEAST team with an elderly man who had suffered a cardiac arrest. Pilots Luke Morgan and Seb Powderham landed the helicopter in a field adjacent to the scene. 

Doctor Saad Jawaid, Critical Care Paramedic Luke Chamberlain and Supervisor Doctor Jeremy Mauger provided advanced A&E level care at the scene including use of the mechanical chest compression device. 

The patient was carried, by air, to the Royal Papworth Hospital for further treatment.
