Co-Pilot Sam

Pilot Sam started his flight training in 2019 and launched his aviation career flying offshore from Aberdeen. He spent three years flying offshore from Scotland before joining East Anglian Air Ambulance as a Co-pilot in 2024 for an exciting new chapter flying Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) tasks through our aviation partner, Babcock.

Sam usually flies the EAAA Anglia One (Norwich) H145 helicopter from the charity’s base at Helimed House and is passionate about the impact HEMS has. He says, “It’s a privilege to work in HEMS and be part of such a vital cause.”

Outside of work, Sam is an active member of the National Association of Round Tables, which supports local communities through charity initiatives and social events. He also volunteers as an Air Cadet Uniformed Instructor, giving back to the organisation that first inspired his journey into aviation.
