Charlie joined our RAID team as Evidence and Impact Research Assistant in June 2025 after volunteering with us since early 2024. She now combines her role with RAID with supporting other areas of our work, including helping at fundraising events and supporting our aftercare team, in a voluntary capacity.
Prior to joining East Anglian Air Ambulance, Charlie worked in underwriting for a bank’s mortgage department before raising her children and working on the family farm.
As Evidence and Impact Research Assistant. She ensures our patient record database is up to date and outcomes are recorded correctly. She also supports with data requests, and enjoys the wide variety of work and opportunities to support projects and studies to improve survival rates for patients.
Sudden out-of-hospital cardiac arrest is the most common mission for East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA). Around one in five of our cardiac arrest patients survive, but across the country the rate of survival is below 10% - this condition needs new treatments to help improve survival rates.
