View nowWe are regularly invited to attend events across the county which provides a great opportunity to promote the work of our charity. We go to fêtes, fairs, and country shows, as well as carnivals and sporting events. We take the chance to share information about the work we do and sell our merchandise, helping us raise vital funds. If you like getting out and about and meeting people, this is the role for you.
This role is available across all of our counties. We particularly need event volunteers in the following areas: North Cambridgeshire, Peterborough, Brandon, Haverhill, Mildenhall, Bedford, Dunstable, Leighton Buzzard, Flitwick, Luton and Biggleswade.
This is a flexible role which offers you the chance to coordinate your fundraising around your other commitments. We have collecting tins across the county in local shops, bars and restaurants and are always looking for new opportunities to put out more, as well as reliable volunteers to look after the ones already distributed.
This role is available across all of our counties.
Our fundraising teams are looking for confident volunteers who are able to give talks and presentations to small groups around Suffolk and Cambridge. The talks will be about the work of the charity and we will provide you with all the information and presentation slides to use. If you think you would like to help us show local groups the work that we do, please get in touch.
This role is available across all of our counties. We particularly need speakers across North Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
Collections are a very simple way to raise valuable funds and a couple of hours of your time can make a big difference, collecting for one day alone can raise £500. All you have to do is stand with a bucket, smile, have a chat and watch the coins come your way! It’s a great opportunity to meet lots of new people, including other volunteers, and to help us raise vital funds.
This role is available across all of our counties. We particularly need collectors across North Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
Due to the demand for our CPR sessions, an exciting opportunity has arisen for volunteers. We are seeking people willing to become Volunteer CPR demonstrators to deliver our free 1-hour CPR and defibrillator awareness sessions to community groups across Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire. Ideally, you will have experience in delivering CPR or CPR training and hold a basic life support or first aid certificate. You’ll receive training from one of our Critical Care Paramedics in how to deliver the course and ongoing monitoring and support will be provided.
We get invited to attend lots of different events throughout the year and without the help of volunteers we couldn’t attend nearly as many as we do. In addition to needing volunteers on the day to host our charity gazebo or stall, we also need volunteers to help us transport materials to and from events as well as assist in setting up and dismantling equipment.
