Music n Motors raises over £1,500 in aid of EAAA

Vintage and classic car enthusiasts, Neil and Caz Collins, organised a ‘Music n Motors’ event in aid of EAAA. Held on 9 August at The Old Garage in the village of Magdalen in West Norfolk, the community came out in force to support it.

This was the second year they have held the event. It featured a wide range of cars, tractors and bikes, and around 300 people enjoyed the vehicles and the live country, 60s and 70s music. They also had a ‘Best in Show’ trophy that was given to the person with the most votes for their exhibit.

“People enjoyed the classic and vintage vehicles; The weather was good; the sun was shining, so people listened and danced to the music before watching the sunset over the fields next to the garage,” Caz explains.

The 2024 event raised over £1,300 in aid of East Anglian Air Ambulance, while this year’s event has surpassed that raising £1,557 on the day.

“The amount was raised from entry fees, a raffle and an auction,” Caz continues. “We know that East Anglian Air Ambulance needs donations to save lives, so we have supported the charity for the last two years. We’re really pleased with the amount raised and are already making plans for the 2026 event!”

Each EAAA emergency tasking costs, on average, £4,250, so the money raised by Music n Motors really will have an impact in our region. Caz and Neil were even thanked by a gentleman from the village for what they were doing.

“His life was saved by East Anglian Air Ambulance, and he was eternally grateful to them and for us helping raise funds for such a great cause. It felt good to raise the money to help more people like him. You never know when you might need help from EAAA yourself.”

Caz adds that she is so grateful to all the people and businesses who donated raffle prizes to support the event and raise money.

“We like to organise things and we’re thankful to everyone who helped us. Hopefully the event will grow and grow every year!”
