Mission Report

Cardiac Arrest

06 September: Billericay

Anglia Two was tasked to Billericay to assist EEAST and police with a man in his fifties who suffered a cardiac arrest. Babcock pilots landed the helicopter on a nearby recreational ground.

Doctor David Clutton and Critical Care Paramedic Gary Spitzer provided enhanced pre-hospital care at the scene, including administering an emergency anaesthetic to protect the patient's breathing.

The HEMS team then accompanied the patient to Basildon Hospital, by land ambulance, for further treatment.
