Mission Report

Cardiac Arrest

11 June: Bury St Edmunds

Anglia Two was tasked to Bury St Edmunds to assist EEAST with a man in his sixties who had suffered a cardiac arrest. Pilots Martin Polding and Lee Kennedy landed the helicopter on a nearby field.

Doctor Joanna Stevens, Critical Care Paramedic Tim Daniels and Supervisor Doctor Sophia DeMaria provided enhanced pre-hospital care, including intubating the patient to protect his breathing.

The HEMS team then accompanied the patient to the Royal Papworth Hospital in Cambridge, by land ambulance, for further treatment.
