Cardiac Arrest

11 September: Cambridge


A critical care paramedic from Anglia Two was tasked to Cambridge by rapid response vehicle to assist EEAST with a man in his forties who suffered a cardiac arrest.

Critical Care Paramedic Liam Sagi gave the patient a full assessment with use of a specialist monitor and provided immediate critical care at the scene, including assisting with the patient’s breathing and performing chest compressions and defibrillation at the scene.

Critical Care Paramedic Liam Sagi then accompanied the man to Addenbrooke’s hospital, by road ambulance, for further treatment.
