Cardiac Arrest

16 February: Bury St Edmunds


Anglia Two was tasked to Bury St Edmunds to assist EEAST with a man in his sixties who suffered a cardiac arrest. Pilots Robin Newell and Lee Kennedy landed the helicopter on a field close to the scene. 

Doctor Becky Mersh, Critical Care Paramedic Liam Sagi and Supervisor Doctor Nathan Howes gave the patient a full assessment and provided enhanced pre-hospital care. 

The HEMS team then accompanied the patient to the Royal Papworth Hospital in Cambridge, by land ambulance, for further treatment.
