Mission Report

Road Traffic Collision

2 July: Lowestoft

Anglia One was tasked to Lowestoft to assist EEAST, police and fire teams with multiple patients who had been involved in a road traffic collision. Pilots Steve Norris and Luke Morgan landed the helicopter on a nearby helipad.

Doctor David Clutton and Critical Care Paramedic Gary Steward assisted the EEAST at the scene, giving all three patients a full assessment.

The first patient, a woman in her thirties, required pain relief and packaging for transport to James Paget Hospital by road ambulance. The HEMS crew accompanied the patient in the ambulance so that they could continue to assess her throughout the journey.

The other two patients, a man in his thirties and an elderly woman, were both taken to the James Paget Hospital by road ambulance for further treatment.
