Mission Report

Cardiac Arrest

23 April: Rayleigh

Anglia Two was tasked to Rayleigh to assist EEAST and Police with an elderly patient who suffered a cardiac arrest. Pilots Robin Newell and Andy Moorhouse landed the helicopter in a field near to the scene.

Doctor Jon Barratt and Critical Care Paramedic Liam Sagi gave the patient a full assessment, including use of a specialist monitor, and provided enhanced pre-hospital care, including protecting the patient’s breathing.

The HEMS crew then accompanied the patient to Southend University Hospital, by road ambulance, for further treatment.
