24 November: St Albans
17:54
Anglia Two was tasked to St Albans to assist EEAST and Fire & Rescue with a man in his sixties who suffered a cardiac arrest. Babcock pilots landed the helicopter on a pitch near to the scene.
Doctor Nathan Howes and Critical Care Paramedic Chris Neil gave the patient a full assessment with use of a specialist monitor and provided enhanced pre-hospital care at the scene, including assisting with the patient’s breathing, administering advanced pain relief, and performing chest compressions.
The HEMS crew then accompanied the patient to Harefield Hospital, by road ambulance, for further treatment.
